Spaniran Fisheries
Spaniran fisheries project is an internal project undertaken by the Obijackson Group to reclaim its newly acquired expanse of land. Over 3million cubic meters of sharp sand have been dredged so far in a project that commenced late 2010. Presently, over 90% completions had been achieved.
Scope of Work:
Scope of work includes the following but not limited to Dredging, Reclamation and Stockpiling of sharp sand.Project Site / Area:
The project site is located at Spaniran Fisheries Waterfront, Abuloma in Port-Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers-State. The site occupies an area of about 54hectres.Benefits:
The benefits of the proposed project include:- Provision of employment opportunities to many skilled and unskilled Rivers State indigenes especially those from the host community.
- Enhancement of the provision of basic social amenities to the host community.
- Availability of land for development.
- Promotion of good relationship between the proponent and the host community and poverty alleviate through increased income generation by the establishment of industry.
Project Status:
Dredging / stockpiling of sand are in progress, which is about 90% completed.
